We are looking for volunteers interested in becoming involved in competitive rock crawling either as a judge or a recovery rig for the Coloma CalROCS event Aug 16-17. Judges- experience preferred, must be agile and have prior rock crawling experience. Recovery rigs- must be highly capable, full size running gear preferred, with a winch rope (not wire). It's a chance to be as close to the action as anyone can... and a lot of fun. It is volunteer, but we provide a CalROCS t-shirt, free entry & lunch. Please contact Glenn, via phone- 530-391-2580. .

We’ve been hard at work preparing for the COLOMA event! Be sure and check out the photo gallery for some action shots from the Browns Valley and Donner events. There are some pictures of the Coloma event site on Pirate: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=702864 Camping will be tight. There is no on site power. All competitors will be allowed to camp but things will be cozy because parking space is very limited. I hope all will be understanding. This link has information on local lodging & camp grounds: http://www.coloma.com/visitor/lodging.php Here is the website for the city of Coloma, has lots of great information: http://www.coloma.com/ If you have any questions, give me a call. Thanks, Glenn Bonner 530-391-2580

CalROCS is going green. Golden Gate Petroleum is supporting our efforts to make our competition as environmentally safe as possible. We will be offering our competitors gear oil, hydraulic and brake fluid (the three most commonly spilled) that have been rated eco friendly. Additionally, we will offer our spectators free rides from the gate to the course sites in a hay wagon pulled by a bio-diesel truck.
